1. About these terms
These terms and conditions govern all bookings made with Nawaya Retreat Village, whether through this website, by email, or via WhatsApp. By confirming a booking with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them before you book. If anything is unclear, contact us before confirming your reservation.
2. Making a booking
A booking is considered confirmed when we have received your enquiry and confirmed availability in writing, and the required deposit has been received. Until both conditions are met, your dates are not reserved. We recommend not purchasing flights or making other travel arrangements until you have received written confirmation from us.
Bookings are accepted for adults only. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Please inform us at the time of booking if your group includes minors.
3. Deposit and payment
A deposit is required to secure your booking. The deposit amount and payment deadline will be confirmed in writing at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due [PLACEHOLDER: e.g. 30 or 60] days before your arrival date. Specific payment instructions will be provided in your booking confirmation.
All payments are made by bank transfer. No payment is processed through this website. No card details are stored by us at any point. Prices are quoted in Euros (€) unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, in which case we will inform you promptly and offer you the option to proceed at the corrected price or cancel without charge.
4. Cancellation by the guest
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us as soon as possible in writing by email or WhatsApp.
The following cancellation terms apply:
More than 60 days before arrival — full refund of deposit 30 to 60 days before arrival — 50% of deposit refunded Less than 30 days before arrival — no refund of deposit Less than 14 days before arrival, full balance paid — no refund of balance
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation. We are a small operation and cannot absorb the cost of last-minute cancellations.

5. Cancellation or changes by Nawaya
In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel or modify your booking. This may occur due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural events, illness, or circumstances affecting the property.
If we cancel your booking, we will notify you as soon as possible in writing, and you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid. We will make reasonable efforts to help you find an alternative, though we cannot guarantee this.
We are not liable for costs you have incurred in connection with your travel arrangements — including flights, transfers, or travel insurance — in the event of a cancellation outside our control. This is another reason we recommend comprehensive travel insurance.
6. Arrival and departure

Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request, subject to availability. Please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you. On arrival, you will be met by a member of our team. Detailed arrival instructions, including directions and transfer options, will be shared with you before your stay.
7. Number of guests
The maximum number of guests permitted per unit is as stated in the bungalow description. The maximum number of guests permitted on the property at any one time is 20, or 24 with additional beds where applicable and agreed in advance.
Unregistered guests — including day visitors — are not permitted without prior written agreement from the management. If you expect to receive visitors during your stay, please inform us in advance.
8. House rules
Nawaya is a small, quiet retreat. The atmosphere depends on all guests treating the space and each other with consideration. By booking, you agree to the following.
Noise and atmosphere. Please keep noise to a level that does not disturb other guests, particularly during the evening and early morning hours. Nawaya is not suited to parties, loud gatherings, or events that disrupt the calm of the property.
The pool. The swimming pool is open 24 hours a day and is unsupervised at all times. Use of the pool is entirely at your own risk. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult when using the pool. We accept no liability for accidents or injuries occurring in or around the pool.
The beach. The beach is approximately 100 metres from the property. Swimming conditions vary significantly with the tide and are not always suitable. Please exercise caution and follow local advice. Swimming is at your own risk.
Alcohol. Alcohol availability at Nawaya is limited and depends on the nature of the group. Please confirm the arrangements with us at the time of booking.
Smoking. Smoking is not permitted inside any bungalow or covered shared space. Designated outdoor areas are available. Please dispose of cigarette materials responsibly.
Damage and breakages. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property, furnishings, or equipment during their stay. We reserve the right to charge for reasonable repair or replacement costs.
Pets. Pets are not permitted on the property unless explicitly agreed in advance in writing.
Respect for staff. Our team is present to support your stay. Please treat all staff members with courtesy and respect.
9. Our responsibility to you
We take care to ensure that the property, facilities, and services are as described and are maintained to a reasonable standard. We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, including weather, power outages, or local disruptions; loss, theft, or damage to your personal belongings during your stay; accidents, injuries, or illness occurring on or off the property, including in the pool, on the beach, or during excursions; or the quality, safety, or conduct of third-party excursion providers.
We strongly recommend that all guests hold their own comprehensive travel insurance, including cover for medical expenses, cancellation, and personal liability. The nearest medical facility is approximately 7 km from the property. Emergency services are contracted with MedExpres, Paje. A first aid kit is available on site and staff are trained in basic first aid.
10. Excursions and additional services
Excursions, yoga sessions, massages, and other additional services arranged through Nawaya are provided for convenience. Where these involve third-party providers, those providers are independent of Nawaya and we accept no liability for their conduct, safety standards, or the outcome of those services. Participation in all activities is voluntary and at your own risk.
11. Complaints
If something is not right during your stay, please speak to the on-site manager as soon as possible. We would rather know about a problem while you are here so that we can address it. If your concern is not resolved to your satisfaction during your stay, please contact us in writing within 14 days of your departure at talk.to.nawaya@gmail.com. We will respond within 14 days.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly between us may be referred to the competent courts of Croatia, or to an alternative dispute resolution body as provided under EU consumer law. EU residents may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking confirmation applies to your stay. We will notify you of any material changes that affect an existing confirmed booking.
